The Triumph Daytona first made its appearance in 500cc form in 1966 and then travelled up the ccs through 600, 650, 675, 750, 900, 955i, 1000, 1200 until 2006. In 2006 the Daytona 675 cc (41.2 cu in) Liquid-cooled, 12 valve, DOHC, in-line 3-cylinder motorcycle was introduced. It is the smallest of the Triumph Triples and replaced the four cylinder Daytona 650. From the start it proved to be a light, quick and strong motorcycle, well able to hold its own against the Japanese 600cc competition.
