D.I.D Heavy Duty Chains are manufactured using solid bushing and thicker plates than standard chain, giving them around 20% greater tensile strength and between 1.2 and 4 times longer lifespan. As with all D.I.D chains they are made in Japan and engineered to the latest technological standards. Available in Standard, Gold and Black.
D.I.D NZ Super Heavy Duty Non-O-Ring Chains are designed to cope with anything Motocross can throw at them. Motocross chains are made without O-rings as O-rings can trap dirt and cause more problems than they solve for motocrossing. However a tough, hard-working chain is essential for the sport, so D.I.D NZ chain is quad riveted with SDH-treated pins, forming a hard chromium-carbide layer on the pin's surface with a soft inner core. The pins combine extra high impact strength with superb shock absorption which is a must for motocross, giving the chain roughly four times the wear resistance and higher tensile strength than standard or regular heavy duty chain. Add in NZ chain's anti-oxidation properties and its resistance to the ingress of foreign materials and it's ideal for the sandy or muddy conditions it is designed to perform in.
D.I.D VX Chains use a patented X-ring system which seals in lubrication while keeping the dirt out. The cross section of the X-rings is cross shaped as you might imagine, rather than circular as in an O-ring. This gives the X-ring more contact points than an O-ring, offering a tighter seal and therefore better protection against the ingress of dirt and grit. Unlike an O-ring which can squash under pressure, an X ring diverts the pressure by twisting, thus decreasing pressure between side plates and reducing power loss by more than 50% compared to an O-ring chain.
D.I.D X-ring chains have 40% more wear resistance than O-ring chains and up to 23% more than standard chain. When properly maintained, a D.I.D X-ring chain can resist bowing and warping, aid smoother handling and last longer than any O-ring or unsealed chain. Available in Standard, Gold or Black.
D.I.D ZVM-X Chains have a patented X2-ring seal system. X rings serve the same function as O-rings, to seal in lubrication and resist road, track and trail dirt which could become trapped under the seal, but have additional contact points from the cross shaped design. X-rings divert pressure by twisting, which minimises friction and therefore reduces power loss by 50%. For the ZVM range the X-rings have been redesigned to offer even better wear and friction resistance, the best in the D.I.D range in fact. An X2 -ring chain will last longer than any O-ring or unsealed chain if proper maintenance is carried out during its life, with 40% greater wear resistance than a standard chain.
