AJP Ultrapassar becomes sponsor of ACU British Trail Bike Championship
The ACU Trials and Enduro Committee have announced that AJP Ultrapassar will be the title sponsor for the 2013 ACU British Trail Bike Championship.
After recent discussions between both the ACU Trials and Enduro Committee and AJP Motorcycles, the ACU Trials and Enduro Committee have announced that AJP Ultrapassar will be the title sponsor for the 2013 ACU British Trail Bike Championship. The championship will now be called the ACU AJP Ultrapassar British Trail Bike Championship and will feature five rounds in the upcoming season.
The AJP Ultrapassar Model
The AJP PR3 "Ultrapassar", which the championship will be named after, is a Special Edition developed to tackle Long Distance Trail riding, using a combination of technological innovation coupled with simplicity. It has a composite frame of double cast aluminium spars and a steel cradle which gives it balance, manoeuverability and low weight. Other AJP technologies include the centrally mounted fuel tank, slung underneath the rider’s seat (providing an optimized weight distribution), polished cast aluminium swinging arm and great suspension.

John Collins, Vice Chairman of the Auto Cycle Union and Chairman of the Trials and Enduro Committee said:
“We are delighted to welcome AJP Ultrapassar on board as the title sponsor for the newly renamed ACU British AJP Ultrapassar Trail Bike Championship as the championship goes from strength to strength. The Trail Bike events combine approximately 30 sections with a long distance ride over varied terrain and provides the riders with excellent value for money and a competition that is suited to all. The events are organised by a group of extremely experienced organisers.”
Allan Seedhouse Managing Director of AJP Importers and distributors Armit Leisure Supplies spoke about
“Having developed our "Ultrapassar" motorcycle specifically for Long Distance Trails, we're delighted to have this opportunity of working with the ACU, to support a series that my colleagues and I competed in so enjoyably last year. At AJP we're convinced that the LDT is the way forward for Trail Bike based competition, rather than the increasingly extreme demands of some Enduros. We're looking forward to attending as many rounds as our schedule allows and hopefully showcasing our bikes by having our staff and dealers competing in rounds wherever we can"
