Classic TT practice gets under way

The barometer is set fair for today's IOM Classic TT practice

Things are gearing up on the Isle of Man as practice week gets under way for the Classic TT. Wemoto are sponsoring racers - John Barton, Mick Godfrey, Dan Kneen and the Festival of Jurby this year.  Arrive early for this it will be packed with past and present World Champions as well as many TT and MGP winners and riders. There will be a Dakota fly past, and thousands of bikes on display as well as being paraded around the former airfield in the North of the Island.  Come and say hello on our Wemoto stand if you are going to the Festival of Jurby.

Rain stops play
Riders who were hoping to get in some track time on the TT Mountain Course in the first practice session at the 2013 Classic TT on Saturday were frustrated as the weather closed in on the Isle of Man and mist and rain, coupled with a shortage of marshals on the course, meant that the practice session had to be cancelled.

Sunshiny day

Today's (Monday) session is due to get underway at 6pm with the Classic TT newcomers among the first riders on the track. The full Classic session is scheduled to start at 19.25 with some of the leading TT riders joining the battle including Guy Martin fresh from three race wins in the Ulster Grand Prix.

Davies Motorsport Honda rider William Dunlop, who took victory in the Ulster Grand Prix Supersport Race will also be competing and McIntosh Racing/Mobile 1 Bruce Anstey who continued his incredible run of achieving podiums in every International meeting since 2002

So far the weather is looking good today with good visibility so hopefully the practice will be able to go ahead as scheduled.
