What do they have in common?
Here’s what the winner will be getting – like them?
Triumph and Gibson have joined forces to raise money for men’s health via the Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride or DGR. The idea is that both are issuing a one off re-issue of their most iconic models - Gibson with a special edition 1959 Les Paul Standard and Triumph offering a Bonneville 1959 Legends Custom Edition bike.
The whole package, the bike and the guitar, together with a 1959 Legends Edition certificate signed by Triumph CEO Nick Bloor and Cesar Gueikian, Brand President of Gibson Brands, will be presented as a reward to the highest fundraiser for the 2022 DGR.
Saying that things are iconic is a bit of a cliché these days but in this case … well they are both iconic! Triumph and Gibson are both symbols of cool and the brands are possibly hoping to appeal to the generation to which they were familiar when young, who may now have a few more bob to line their pockets.
