National Motorcycle Museum holds raffle to help financial struggle
Like many others, the National Motorcycle Museum has been hit hard by the effects of Covid-19, but you can do your bit to help
The National Motorcycle Museum, a favourite of Wemoto, is not new to holding raffles, but the money it hopes to raise with its special Covid-19 appeal raffle is needed now more than ever.
The museum, which relies solely on visitors, fundraising and customers, needs £500,000 a year minimum to survive. But like many other businesses at this time, it has been closed since March due to Covid-19 and so it has not been able to raise the funds it needs, which is why it is holding a special Covid-19 appeal raffle.
The raffle opens on 17th July and tickets are £6. Winners will be drawn on 21st December with the top prizes being:
1. A 1977 Norton Commando 850
2. A 1948 Ariel NG 350, restored by the museum
3. 1959 BSA B31, also restored by the museum
Due to regulations, the raffle will only be open to those who reside in the UK. But anyone outside the UK, or anyone who doesn't fancy their chances of winning one of these beautiful bikes, can donate to the museum instead.
