Petrol prices falling back down

Finally things are stabilising in the world of fuel

Image
The AA have reported what we have all already noticed at the pumps, that petrol is going back down again after the astronomical hikes in prices which were triggered by Russia's invasion of Ukraine. In June last year petrol was nearly £2 a litre making it nearly £100 to fill the average family car, but now it has dropped back down to around £1.50 a litre - a bit more like it.

This must come as a relief to motorcyclists and motorists who are feeling the squeeze across the board. The price of petrol and diesel affected many areas of life, not only domestic, but industrial as well, with gas and electric prices also going through the roof and food prices rising partly due to the cost of transporting it.

Let's hope this trend continues and prices carry on falling as most people are already struggling to cover the high costs of their food and heating without astronomical fuel bills. It's nice to have a little bit of good news :)
