Many motorcycle friendly cafes are back up and running again after the trials and tribulations of recent years! If you're heading out for a ride in Surrey on your motorcycle, Ryka's cafe could be your destination. It's a warm and friendly cafe which welcomes motorcyclists and is situated in Mickleham, Dorking at the bottom of Box Hill, so a beautiful ride is guaranteed.

The cafe itself is family run and has a tasty menu with plenty of options to suit everyone. It is a famous and perennially popular destination for motorcyclists and you can be sure to see every bike you can imagine in the car park and on the ride up and down Box Hill.

Box Hill has, understandably, been popular with motorcyclists since the 1920s and if you ride around the area you can see why. Twisty roads which are a joy to ride and easy to get to, with stunning views of the beautiful Surrey countryside all the way. It is a good route too as a stop on the way to visit other motorcycle cafes like Newlands corner for example. Sit and watch the bikes circulating on a sunny day – and we seem to have a few of those already when the wind dies down – while enjoying a cuppa or a tasty meal and what could be nicer. Ryka's have a large picnic area with 30 outdoor picnic tables, plus indoor seating and a capacious free car park for cars and bikes, public loo – so plenty of space and everything you need after a beautiful ride.

Ryka's great location means that is still hale and hearty despite, like every other hospitality business, the trials of enforced closure during the pandemic and the negotiation of the covid rules regulations and restrictions re eating, drinking and seating. You will be glad to hear that it is now back up and running open seven days a week and operating at full strength for the time of year already.
