Triumph Motorcycles are branching out into the Motocross and Enduro Arena
Up hill and down dale? Triumph are expanding their range of motorcycles
Ivan Cervantes
Triumph have been on an upward trajectory in recent times. They've been concentrating mainly on the luxury motorcycle market, but in a new venture they are now heading out over rougher terrain. Lets hope it will be smooth riding for them.
Triumph have announced that they will be bringing out a fully comprehensive new range of motocross and enduro machines in the near future. Apparently the development of these machines is already well under way and there’s going to be a Triumph factory race programme coming too! Triumph are fully committing to top tier championship racing in both Motocross and Enduro with this new direction.
To help with the mission, some legends of Motocross and Enduro are partnering with Triumph to help realise the dream. Motocrosser Ricky Carmichael and Enduro World Champion Iván Cervantes. They will be actively bike testing and helping with race prep – good credentials for Triumph’s machines!

Triumph’s CEO Nick Bloor said:
“Today’s announcement marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Triumph brand, which everyone at Triumph is incredibly excited to be part of. We are 100% committed to making a long-lasting impact in this highly competitive and demanding world, with a single-minded ambition to deliver a winning motorcycle line-up for a whole new generation of Triumph riders”
Triumph will be taking on the big four Japanese and major European players with this move, both in the race fields and the marketplace. The market for off road bikes is a lucrative one, with a boom in sales which only increased during the pandemic, so Triumph clearly wants a slice of that pie.
Triumph do have some form in this area with the Scrambler and the Trophy, both of which are associated with rougher terrain, but nothing more recent has been evident except perhaps the Tiger adventure models.
So one day soon there will be a big reveal and we will see what’s what, and maybe we will want one!
